What is this blog about?

This blog is for aspiring nurse leaders. Healthcare is a difficult enterprise to lead in. As an aspiring nurse leader, I found that the majority of content available for nursing leaders was at best bland and academic, and at worst elitist and condescending to a humble newcomer. I was inspired by the simplicity and earnestness of writers like Rose Sherman at emergingrnleader.com. So, I started this blog in 2025 to share my own experience, learning, and reflections with other aspiring healthcare leader

While I cover a wide range of topics, I will generally post on the following areas of focus:

  • Leading in healthcare
  • Nurse leader career development
  • Productivity for nurse leaders
  • Healthcare economics and systems
